Tonight, Wednesday the 12th, celebrate Women’s History Month at the Jensen Grand Concert Hall on the Idaho State University campus with a special concert by guest pianist Lise Keiter-Brotzman, of Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA.

Keiter-Brotzman will be playing a recital of piano music by Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel (sister of Felix Mendelssohn and a composer of the romantic period in the early 19th century), Clara Schumann (wife of the famous Robert Schumann, and one of the most distinguished pianists of the romantic era), Amy Beach (an early 20th century American composer), and others. This concert is co-sponsored by ISU’s Cultural Affairs Council and Music Department; concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 for adults, $3 for ISU faculty and staff, $2 for pre-college students, and free for ISU students with a Bengal card.
