This MUST be breaking news because when I tell MY customers it is news to them!
Ever wonder why your mailbox attracts spiders and their webs, wasps and their nests, birds and their...by-products, and other boxes are clean? It's because you check the mailbox at lunchtime or after breakfast, and food oil from your hands invites these visitors.
Then you, and your mailcarrier, are draped in webs and spiders (and spider bites), chased and stung by wasps busily nesting in your mailbox, and gagged by the bird do all over your mailbox.
It might sound funny to ask you to wash your hands before you handle mail and your mailbox, but it will make my 792 mailboxes, and the thousands of boxes we serve, cleaner and safer places to visit!
