As fall slips over the thermal basins of Yellowstone National Park, autumn clouds, cool and blue fill the skies, foretelling the nearing winter season. I found the contrast between the cold, crisp breeze and the boiling water turmoil of the volcanic hydrothermal springs to be at great odds much like the park seasons themselves. Winter is an angry and harsh time, often killing the weak while summer is warm and inviting, a time of nourishment and play. I find autumn and spring to be those times of transition where things are just a bit more interesting and the boundaries between life and death become blurred, if not merged together.

I like the colors, I've always seen Yellowstone during the hot summer. What a nice contrast in the fall.

Dude I give up. You win. Absolutely incredible. Not to mention you went all deep like on us in the comment. If I wasn't a poor collage student I would seriously consider buying a print.
