My Grandson who was born with a bi-lateral cleft lip and palate.
He is a strong and very cute young boy who has had wonderful Doctors who have made him whole. Each time he has an operation he is and will always be my handsome grandson named Sammy.
I'm GrandmaJ to a wonderful young boy name Samuel Haden Lewis Riley and he will be having a birthday soon. Now that name alone is a month full. He will be 2 years old on the 7th of November.
He is my ray of sunshine and hope, in the days that I enjoy. The way he communicates with me is so special and to know that we can. He is just learning how to form words, with his mouth that was closed with the last surgery. So the roof of it would help make the sounds he makes. And the words will one day be words that are like "GrandmaJ come play with me". I am waiting and can hardly wait to hear GrandmaJ come from that wonderful little boy.
He will have to have a few more operations to help him be a little more whole. But he is my strong and wonderful young grandson and I love it when he shakes his whole body and then GrandmaJ does it then we laugh and its so great to know that we can laugh together. Sammy you are one of the most of wonderfulest things that have happened, that help me be your GrandmaJ.
This is to one of my grandsons who I love and know that God is with him and helps him each day. Here is to my grandson Sammy.
