POCATELLO – The Pocatello Zoo’s next ZooCamp is “The Birds and the Beasts: A Play on Play” scheduled for July 6 through 9 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Children will learn about baby animals and how their parents care for them. Activities include crafts, games, puppet workshops, tours and keeper chats. Children will need to wear closed-toed shoes and bring a water bottle.
Rates for the half-day camp are $65 per child (no discount); $60 per child with a resident discount card; or $55.25 per child for Pocatello Zoological Society Members. There is an additional discount of $10 for each additional child enrolled with the same family. There is also a $5 activity/materials fee for this camp.
The Pocatello Zoo is offering three more half-day camps this summer. Look for these fun and educational programs: “Drawing Upon the Zoo” July 20-23; “Rockin’ It with Fossils” August 3- 6; and “Beastly Behavior” August 10-13.
Reservations and advance payment are required for a spot in ZooCamp. On-site registration is available for this camp, 7:30 to 8 a.m., Monday, July 6, at the Zoo Administration Office, across the street from the Animal Shelter. Space is limited.
