"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. He has sent me to preach the Gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of the sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised and the opening of the prison to them that are bound." proclaims Pastor Jacqualine Theresa Thomas.

Pastor Thomas extends her appreciation and thanks to those who participated in her First Annual Pastor's Anniversary banquet on September 9th, 2007. The evening was such a tremendous victory for the community of Pocatello. Religious leaders, community members and an inter-Faith Mass Choir, under the direction of Praise Temple of God's Music Minister, Stephanie Evans, cam together to celebrate a year of spiritual growth. Mach hard work went into the planning of the first anniversary celebration.

"The Word speaks of God's desire for us to come together, says Thomas, "That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father and of the Son." (Colossians 2:2)

The evening's performance reflected a diverse landscape of Pocatello's congregations. Not only did the Mass Choir bring together members of choirs from the Presbyterian, LDS, Baha'i, Church of God in Christ Holiness, and Non-Denominational faiths, groups like the SoundScape Quartet, The Powerhouse Christian Fellowship Team, and Suspended performed. The evening was also highlighted by solo performances. Christopher Midgyette, serenaded the Pastor with one of her favorite songs, I Won't Complain and a presentation of two dozen roses. A praise dance solo, entitled What God has for Me, was performed by Minister in Training, Kimiko Callen of Praise Temple of God.

Community leaders showed up in numbers to speak to Pastor Thomas' accomplishments. The programs testimonials included, Lewis L. Andrews Jr., President of the Pocatello NAACP, Roger Scheis of the Bannock County Sheriff's Department, Kimberly Talbot of Project Hope Advocacy Program, Randy Spencer, Multi-Stake Public Affairs Director Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Reverend Pamela Mayes of First Presbyterian Church, William McGee of Church of Latter Day Saints, and Associate Pastor Maria Fernandez of Powerhouse Christian Fellowship.

The evening began with a spirited devotional service delivered by Deacons Payton Cody and Daniel Ray. The program was hosted by the Mistress of Ceremonies, Celeste M Stiggers. Guests were greeted at the doors by Todd and Virginia Liggins, whose mother also happens to be Mother of the Church of Praise Temple, Lela Liggins. Her eloquence graced guests with a warm church welcome. Darnell Evans, who is a faithful Prayer Warrior of Praise Temple was a worthy escort as Pastor Thomas entered the banquet hall on her special night. The pulpit was hosted by Associate Pastor Greg Helm and Senior Pastor Rodney D. Enos. The Spoken Word was delivered by the distinguished guest speaker, Pastor Frank L Reed of Church of God of Christ Holiness in Compton California. Pastor Reed was accompanied by his wife Saundra and Pastor Thomas' sister Beverly Meadows.

The hall was immaculately decorated in silver and white by the personal touches of the Pastor herself, who adorned guests with handmade sparkling silver corsages and boutonnieres, along with the coordination of Celeste M Stiggers.

The dinner was lovingly prepared by the Mystique's own Executive Chef, Reverend Jim Jones, alongside his wonderful wife, family friends who served. The use of the Mystique Theatre was a gift from owners Terry and Melonie Commons. "I was truly blessed by the generosity and love that Terry Commons and Reverend Jim Jones have shown me. I am still in awe of how beautiful the evening's setting truly was. I believe the angels in heaven were shouting and praising along with God, seeing us all coming together." remarks Pastor Thomas. "the bible says, But glory and honor and peace to every man that worketh good. To the Jew first, and also to the Gentile. For there is no respect of person with God."(Romans 2:10-11)

"The love that I have comes from the Lord, I am decreasing on the daily basis so that they Lord may increase. The outpouring of support tat I witnessed last Sunday, affirms that we are all increasing in love for one another." says Pastor Thomas as she points to another scripture, "If a man say, I love God and hateth his brothers, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother, whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment has we from him, That he who loveth God loveth his brother also" (I John 4:20-21) "I pray that the city of Pocatello will continued to grow in love, unity and understanding.
