Gate City Rotary together with many community volunteers recently completed a landscaping project at the Civic sign on Clark Street. The sign, which was originally constructed several years ago, was in need of a face lift.

elbow Sagness, a former Rotary District Governor had asked Gate City Rotary if they would be willing to take on this project. After several work parties throughout the summer, the project was completed in late August.

Gate City Rotary thanks the following for their donations as well as supplies for this important project: Zonta, Town and Country Gardens, Castle Concrete Company, Inc., Rocky Mountain Supply, Pocatello Parks and Recreation, Pocatello Airport, Pocatello Streets Department, Dr. Stephen Moffat.

Gate City Rotary members who worked on the landscaping include Jerry Myers, Tom Myers, Jim Park, Terri Azzola, Maggie Calica, Greg Romriell, Lisa Armijo, Scott Ransom, and Robbie Beckstead.

A special thank you to Gate City Rotary member Leon Manning for bringing Explorer Unit #154 Cedar Hills Ward to help. This group included Blake Jensem, Lloyd Jensen, Gerald Rowan, Erick Bowen, Tanner Jensen, Parker Jensen, and Colton Belnap.

Joe and I got a good lock at this new sign yesterday - great job to everyone that helped. We have so many new plots of ground that are becoming mini-gardens and points of info. We think that these small efforts add a BIG PLUS for Pocatello. Another project that help to welcome folks to the Gate City area is the airport. The new parking lot is almost compleated and when the last of the landscaping is finishes it will be wonderful. Love all the trees that line the highway as you go towards the airport and back to town.

I am so happy that Pocatello has grown up enough to have a sign that is so beautiful. I want to say thank you to all who help.
