| Franciscan Fall Festival - Saturday Sept 13! Sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, this wholesome family event is sure to please young and old alike and is back by popular demand! The Festival will be at the Sisters' Desert House, Saturday, September 13th from 11am to 3pm. Mark your calendars now for a day of old fashioned family fun, food and entertainment - Franciscan style! There will be great homemade fare available including hot dogs and brats, beans, corn on the cob, drinks and more. We’ll have plenty of the Sisters’ famous Franciscan Breads and Jams for sale and wagon rides for the kids. We also have many new games and activities planned this year. Along with the Bottle Booth and traditional kids’ games, we’ve added live music, a senior game tent, tours of specific sites on the land, and face painting by ever talented Maxine & Crew. In addition, there will be plenty of creamy, rich ice cream to cool you down after a leisurely walk around the grounds. Last but not least, join the fun by playing in the Pinochle Tournament taking place in the senior game tent. Start honing your skills now, the competition could get exciting! So come enjoy the always extraordinary Franciscan hospitality, as well as a quiet sense of peace that exudes from the surroundings. Bring the whole family for a rare and special day.
