I want to thank all of those involved in the Pocatello Marathon. My daughter, Sarah Skeem ran and came in second. Not many knew she was sick with a stomach bug and had to stop 6 times!!! She came in first for her age group and 2nd overall for the woman - and that is much to the credit of all those who manned the stations through the whole course. We drove the entire length, cheering her on and holding up a pair of her tennis shoes, just in case...you see, she had a crack in the ones she was wearing and the air pocket had burst, and yet she ran! (Yep, I am so proud of her).
Pocatello, this is our spirit!!! The crowds were supportive and the event filled with stories of heroes that fullfilled their dreams and overcame much to finish.
Thank you to all for putting on such a wonderful activity that included many from different seasons of life. I love living here and call Pocatello - HOME!
