I will absolutely, positively vote! A few years ago I saw a movie called "Iron Jawed Angels" which was about what women have had to go through to earn the right to vote and I will never ever take it for granted. Also, I have a child who started school this year so issues such as education are very important to me.

Joe and I will be voting! In some of the races we may cancel out each others votes out but besides being a duty, a special right and an honor it is also a necessary part of being a citizen. From election day until the next I often encounter people who are complaining and belly aching about political issues. I always ask them: Did you vote in the last election? Most say no and I let them know that if they did not vote, that their had lost the right to complain! And, you know what - I believe it! See you at the polls! Maxine

Despite not having my pick of candidates, I think it's important to make an informed decision based on the choices available, and to act on that, even if it means voting for an Independent or Constitutionalist. In my opinion, the only thing worse than not voting, is voting without being informed.

You bet I will. If I don't vote, I lose the right to complain and criticize. Besides, the differences between the candidates experience, judgement and their abilities to effectively deal with the issues are really significant. It seems that Obama has chosen Biden as his running mate to counter his naivety and inexperience, probably at the Democratic Party's insistence, while MaCain has chosen Palin in order to appeal to more constituents, particularly women. It is going to be interesting.

Being an Air Force Brat, I've grown up being reminded that our right to vote is precious. I have never missed an election, you see, I feel that one person can truly make a difference. Because one plus one plus one plus one.....see it goes on forever and we can become a voice for our families, ourselves and our community.
