Come “Refill Your Tank”

Tired of hearing about high gas prices and other bad news?  Join the United Way of Southeastern Idaho at the September Chamber General Membership Meeting to learn what the organization is doing to ensure that our region continues to grow and prosper.

United Way currently supports 36 of the most effective nonprofit organizations in our region, working on solutions to our community’s most challenging issues.  These issues affect your businesses and your bottom lines--healthy employees miss less work time; employees with safe, reliable childcare are better able to concentrate on the task at hand during work hours; a better educated community thrives and energizes the local economy.  United Way works with community partners to ensure the strength of your employees, neighbors, businesses, and family all year round. United Way will launch its 2008-2009 Community Giving Campaign in September.  Your contributions helped secure a better future for 82,374 Southeast Idahoans last year.  This year’s Campaign Chair Bill Kunerth of the Idaho State Journal leads the effort to raise $625,000 over the next three months.

Come be inspired by the inspirational leadership of your local United Way.  Get away from work for a lunch break that will help to “refill your tank” as you hear about some of the best-kept secrets that are at work right now, strengthening the community and laying the foundation for an even better tomorrow.

Please join us for the September 5, 2008 Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce General Membership Meeting. Trade Tables open at 11:30 a.m.  Lunch and the meeting begin at noon at the Red Lion Hotel in Pocatello.  R.S.V.P. to the Chamber office at 233-1525.
