Now in their 10th year on the national stage, Montgomery Gentry can look back on one of the country’s most impressive legacies. They have released more that 20 charted singles, with anthems like “My Town” and “Hell Yeah” becoming incredible parts of the honky -tonk landscape. They have hit the top of the singles charts four times, with “If You Ever Stop Loving Me,” Something To Be Proud Of,” 2007’s multiweek chart topper “Lucky Man” and “Back When I Knew It All,” which is the fastest rising single to date for the duo.
“Back When I Knew It All” is the lead single and title track from Montgomery Gentry’s brand new disc, in stores now. Produced by Blake Chancey, “Back When I Knew It All” is the follow-up to “Some People Change,” which delivered three back-to-back Top 5 singles, including the No. 1 smash “Lucky Man.” For information about Montgomery Gentry, visit montgomerygentry.musiccitynetworks.com
Opening for Montgomery Gentry will be Charley Jenkins. Jenkins recently competed on “Nashville Star,” where he was one of 12 finalists out of more than 45,000 contestants. A native of Roosevelt, Utah, Jenkins has produced two albums. His first is titled “Round Here,” and his second is “Ridin.” His friends and neighbors stepped up and helped him scrape up $15,000 to produce his first CD, which left him “scared to death.” Jenkins has been busy performing this summer. He has recently opened for such entertainers as Emerson Drive, Daryl Worley, LeAnn Rimes, Kellie Pickler and Jason Aldean.
