Call for Artists to Present Modern Day Fairy Tales from a Feminist Point of View in Recognition of Women’s History Month
Pocatello – Idaho State University’s Women’s Studies Program and the Janet C. Anderson Gender Resource Center are accepting submissions, through Jan. 30, for original artwork and literature to support this year’s National Women’s History Month theme “From Cinderella to Fiona: Reconstructing Fairy Tales from a Feminist Point of View.”
Submissions may be turned in at the Anderson Center in Graveley Hall, room 117, or mailed to:
Anderson Center
Idaho State University
Mail Stop 8141
Pocatello, ID 83209-8141
All submissions must reflect a healthy, positive and active female point of view, which may be used to teach girls and young women about what it really means to be a woman. Submissions will be on display in the Mind's Eye and Transition Galleries on the ISU campus throughout March in celebration of Women History Month.
For more information, contact the Anderson Center at 282-2805 or Claudia McCoy at 282-5002.
