Through the Fire and through the water

 God has a purpose behind every problem.  We have to understand that God uses circumstances to develop our character.  To make us more like Jesus. John said in verse 30: He must increase, but I must decrease.  I have been through the fire for the last year.  Peter said, beloved, I think it not strange concerning the fiery trail which is to “try” you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.   But rejoice, in as much as ye are partakers with Christ’s sufferings; that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. (1Peter 4:12-13)  It is time to put to rest the lies and false rumors as to why I am no longer at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.  It was over a dress code.  Much like Popeye the sailor man, I am who I am.  I am who the almighty God created me to be. I am a virtuous woman of God.  The Lord created me in his image after His likeness.  We have to be thankful as well as grateful for who God created each of us to be. God is a God of Variety; we fall short when we allow man to clone us.   I will continue to wear the “Hats and dress” in the manner in which the Lord has ordered.  The Bible says in Psalm 37:23 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and he delighteth in his way.  As Paul said, “If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.  It is and it has been my desired to please the Lord.”

  The Apostle Paul wrote an open letter to the Corinthians decreeing that a woman cover her head; the Lord use the hat to bring about his divine purpose.  And that was to build unto Him a Temple (Praise Temple of God). The Lord nudged Reverend William Beard to nudge me out of my comfort zone, to be about my father’s business. It was time for the Eagle to stir his nest.  What the devil meant for harm, God meant for good.  We have to remember that God’s plan is good.  God knows what is best for you and has your best interest at heart.  God told Jeremiah, “The plans I have for you are plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  It is time for Reconciliation.  Reconciliation means you bury the hatchet.  Reverend William Beard of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor Jacqualine Theresa Thomas of Praise Temple of God were united back in fellowship during the services for Sister Mary Lee Joyner.

  We must protect Church, the Bible call Satan the accuser of our brothers.  It’s the Devils job to blame, complain and criticize members of God’s family.  Anytime we do the same, we’re being duped into doing Satan’s work for him.  REFUSE TO LISTEN TO GOSSIP!  Gossip is passing on information when you are neither part of the problem nor part of the solution.  You know spreading gossip is wrong, but you should not listen to it either, if you want to protect your church.  Listening to gossip is like accepting stolen property, and it makes you just as guilty of the crime.  When someone begins to gossip to you, have the courage to say “Please stop”. The fastest end to a church or a small group conflict is to lovingly confront those who are gossiping and insist they stop it.  Solomon pointed out, “Fire goes out for lack of fuel, and tensions disappear when gossip stops.

 Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.  It is time for Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and Praise Temple of God to come together in Unity and Love and be about our fathers business.  God Bless you Pastor Jacqualine Theresa Thomas
