I am privileged enough to go on a backpacking trip through the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming! It's a 30 day trip where students learn from their instructors how to survive on their own on the backcountry. During the summer, I'll be with people from around the country, with people from different lives, and with people who are just as enthusiastic about being able to care for themselves while in natures beauty! It should be such and experience! I'm so excited!

I am just looking forward to summer... period! LOL We moved here last year at this time and things were very hectic and scattered throughout the whole summer so I am very happy to be settled now and looking forward to everything the area has to offer. I am looking forward to the Iris show and tour, the zoo, the farmer's market and garage sales. I am going to savor and enjoy every single moment.. and hopefully it won't be as hot this year. LOL

One of our personal favorites for Joe and me is attending the Revive @ 5 every Wednesday afternoon (5pm - 8pm)! I hate it when it rains or is really cold on these days! The music is always great, the rotating food vendors are wonderful and really offer a look at all the types of foods that are available in Pocatello and the surronding area. THE PEOPLE WHO HANG OUT THERE ARE REALLY A GREAT GROUP and I love to watch the families that join in - there is nothing any more fun than wathing kids from 2 or 14 dancing and having a great time. PLUS there are 2 other things that make it a must see event - first, the FARMERS MARKET also sets up there on Wednesday afternoon! Second, it helps support all of the wonderful work of the Bannock Civitan group. All in all - everything about Revive @ 5 is fantastic! Add to that that the cost of gas to get there is really not an issue because it is located at the Old Town Pavilian (did I spell that right??) it is right down town! So I hope you all will consider dropping over - it is among the best of the best that Pocatello has to offer! SEE YOU THERE - unless it is freezing cold or raining hard!

My wife and I are planning to visit Yellowstone Park a couple of times. Other than that, it looks like I'm going to be building a stress fire shooting range and a bridge across a creek on the mountain property that my family owns. I'm also trying to convince my wife that I really need another rifle for hunting.

Now that it costs $150 to $200 in gas to go anywhere, my wife and I are looking forward to more time in our backyard kiddy pool with the girls!
