Hmmm, I have been thinking about this a lot lately, hence the question posting. I am kind of leaning toward Obama at this point in the game. He doesn't seem like a typical politician. By that I mean he just seems real . . . he was raised very poor by a single mother. I feel like he would fight for the middle and lower class more than the others would. He is very well spoken and I think he just seems to have common sense. However, I would like to spend a little bit more time finding out what each of the candidates stance on certain issues, such as education, are before I completely decide.

Voting solely on Obama or McCain - or whomever is running on the Libertarian ticket - I will write in a candidate, however the present candidates with running mates may change my mind.

A withdrawal from Iraq is a very appealing concern of mine because I'm set for a second deployment in 1-2 years from now (or that's what the writing on the wall sez). However, Democrats fail to articulate how this philosophy will lead to an overarching victory in the region. Until they can explain "winning via retreating," I'm in the Maverick's camp. Don't mistake: if anybody can explain this logically, I'll vote for Obama in a heartbeat.  I do not want to go back again if it can be avoided responsibly.

Well, Hillary has pretty well alienated most of the people in the U. S. now that she has been showning her true colors. Obama doesn'r know that Arabic isn't spoken in Afganistan, doesn't know the difference between Israel and Iran and can't speak intellegently with out a teleprompter. I think that leaves only McCain. I guess I'll vote for McCain since he is the only candidate that actually knows what is going on and that Illinois is actually closer to Kentucky than Arkansas is.

A plan for leaving Iraq is very important to me as well. But, I agree, it would be nice for somebody to actually come up with a plan explaining the how, when, and why of it.

I support TONY STEWART, the NASCAR DRIVER. At least he calls a spade a spade and doesn't tell you what he thinks you want to hear. Unfortunately, the options available all suck. This country is in deep doodoo!!
