Wow, where to start?! This photograph is from my most recent multimedia project on the University of Montana's Relay for Life. I've been to the one in Pocatello before, but never appreciated the event as much as I do after photographing it! The event is for a great cause and the luminare ceremony was beautiful! The University raised $40,000 for the American Cancer Society! =) How great is that?! This is one of my favorite photographs from my project.
Caption: Luminaries, white bags decorated with the names of loved ones who are suffering from cancer or have passed away to cancer, surround the oval at the University of Montana's Relay for Life. The annual event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society which raised over $40,000 through teams that walked for a 12-hour period to show support and inspiration for cancer patients.
