Auditions Set for Cast Selection
Mystique Theater is holding auditions in May for their next two shows. The Wizard of Oz auditions will be held May 13, 14 and 15. The show will run in July and August. Auditions for Little Shop of Horrors will be held on May 20 and 21. Little Shop will premiere in August and run through September. Both auditions will be held at the theater, for an appointment or additional information, call the Box Office at 238-8001.
Terry Commons, the theater's owner will be directing Wizard. "The Wizard of Oz is a magical classic we are excited to reinvent on our stage. We have not cast any of the roles yet. We are always so impressed with the talent that finds us. Auditioners need to have one musical number preferrably no longer than 60 seconds and come dressed to move and dance," Commons explains.
Dr. Sherry Dienstfrey, from Idaho State University, will direct Little Shop of Horrors. "We want to cast the show early so we can have a soft summer rehearsal schedule," Dienstfrey notes. "The show will be a fun, macabre musical comedy to launch us into our Halloween season," Commons adds.
