By Jenny Hopkins jhopkins@journalnet.com POCATELLO — When you see Ryan Pelton on stage, donning blue suede shoes, guitar slung over his shoulder and singing “Hound Dog,” you may think you are witnessing a performance by The King himself. Widely regarded as one of the best Elvis tribute artists in the world, Pelton is scheduled to perform in Pocatello at the Pocatello High School auditorium on Saturday, June 26. Pelton has worked with some of the original musicians who worked with Elvis himself, including The Jordanaires, The Imperials, The Sweet Inspirations, D.J. Fontana, Charlie Hodge, Jerry Scheff, and Millie Kirkham. Pelton has been entertaining audiences all over the United States and on four continents, performing with the Las Vegas Production Show “Legends in Concert.” He also starred in movies including “Hound Dog” with Dakota Fanning, and appealed in commercials as Elvis. THIS IS A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS TREE THIS YEAR AS MY FATHER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH TERMINAL CANCER IN NOVEMBER. HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN OUR SANTA CLAUS. EACH YEAR HE WOULD DRESS AS SANTA NOT ONLY FOR MY CHILDREN BUT ALSO THE GREAT GRAND-CHILDREN.
THIS WAS HIS FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR. SO I DEDICATE THIS TREE TO HIM FOR ALL THE LOVE AND JOY HE ALWAYS SPREADS TO EVERYONE. HE WILL ALWAYS BE MY SANTA CLAUS.

This is a photo of an old school house shot near Bancroft ID. I had a chance to run in to an old farmer that was working the field next to it to get the history. The emotion was remarkable.
