By Greg Eichelberger "Inception" (Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gorden-Levitt) — Christopher Nolan, the director of such memorable pictures as "The Dark Knight" and "Memento," among others, has taken visual imagery and special effects to a new high, adding a fairly intriguing plot to the mix with his newest effort, "Inception." And while the film tends to employ a bit too many shoot- 'em-up scenes, gets a little convoluted and drags near the end, it is nevertheless one of the better products of 2010. Three stars "Dinner For Schmucks" (Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Zack Galifianakis) — Poor sap Tim (Rudd), a good-hearted but ambitious financial analyst, must round up idiots for a ritual dinner his bosses hold. He finds a simple-minded accountant, Barry (Carell), who likes dressing up dead mice to replicate historical paintings (yup, that's Hollywood's version of weird). Soon, the irritation level of Barry becomes almost intolerable to us and nearly fatal to Tim. Has some limited laughs, especially...

Musicians from the area and some from as far away as North Dakota will converge at Idaho State University from August 2-6 for a “strings boot camp.” “It’s a refresher course for the adult members of the orchestra, and for the younger members of the orchestra it’s a really good grounding in the basic fundamentals of string playing,” said Chung Park, Idaho State Civic Symphony Music Director/Composer and instructor at the camp. For a week, string players, many of whom play in the Idaho State Civic Symphony, will come together for a daily intensive string playing instruction from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Now in its third year, the camp boasts a record 57 participants, creating the need for a second violin teacher.
