About Maxine & Joseph

While Maxine & Joseph Baird live in Southeastern Idaho, most of their work has been outside of the Pocatello Market area.  The Baird's love to travel and enjoy networking with other Celebration Industry artists.

They are a good team that that been married and working together for 13 years.  They have a blended family that includes eight children , 11 grandchildren and two more grandsons on the way.

During the last 20+ years Maxine has taught design classes for balloons, gift baskets and helped  small companies learn how to expand their profit centers.

The Baird's established Balloons-n-Funtimes as an industry newspaper; it later became an informational website:  www.Balloons-n-Funtimes.com , a fun place  that blends balloons, gift baskets, face painting, party planning, family entertainment and all areas of special events education into the "Voice of the Celebration Industry".   A revamped and expanded website will open in June.  It will feature many industry leaders are  guest editors, a NewsLetter and an ever growing Market Place locator helps businesses  find new services and exciting products.  Several Pocatello companies will be finding new clients throughout the USA with special promotions on the Market Place!

The Baird's have traveled in the USA teaching industry classes and for the last four years have sponsored JUMP START JAMS (a JSJ includes balloon twisting, face painting, entertainers, networking, door prizes , refreshments - IT'S A HUGE PARTY!) for convention attendee.  They are held the night before major events and have been hosted in Arizona, California, Nevada, New York/New Jersey and  Florida - OPPS, forgot Chicago, IL!

The Baird's are proud to have established the Celebration Industry Youth Awards program in 2004.  The program helps fund youth attendance at industry education events. More than 20 young entertainers have been helped by the program to date.

During the last three years the Baird's have become more active in community events in Southeastern Idaho.  They love working with the younger generation that is growing up in their Idaho hometown.  Maxine is currently painting the young grandchildren of girls and boys that she helped celebrate their birthday during the 70's and 80's!

In February of 2008 they started a FREE NewsLetter for Kids with fun activities, coloring pages, trivia and fun thing to learn and do!  There is also a joke section!  It is free.  The KIDS NewsLetter and a calendar of events for Maxine & Crew will be can be found at:        http://www.maxineandcrew.co...

As Joe and Maxine look toward to slowing down a bit as they reach their retirement ages, they will be doing less travel and spending more time developing their Maxine & Crew division, right here is Southeastern Idaho.  Truth be told - they love kids and enjoy having the opportunity to work on projects that include a close association with them.

Looking forward to seeing you at many wonderful community events in Pocatello, Chubbuck and the surrounding area!   If high gas prices are putting a crimp on your budget - DON'T WORRY ABOUT NO FUN THIS SUMMER - just check out all the great things being offered in Pocatello, Chubbuck and the surrounding area!
