About ike
I'm married with two kids, working two jobs and going to school full time as an engineering student. I'm a member of the National Guard working as a meteorologist (please don't ask me about the forecast) and can claim a tour of duty in Iraq with the 116th BCT.
In Iraq, I worked as a drill instructor for the Iraqi army (building the highly reputable 1st Kurdish Brigade) and even learned to speak the local language. Although extremely difficult, my deployment was a very rewarding experience.
I have a passion for politics, but I try to avoid the usual conservative/liberal antics. I try my hardest to understand each issue individually, but must concede my own naivete despite my best efforts. Hopefully I can be more effective in understanding other's perspectives with the result of making us all a better informed society.
