I was accused of being "terse" on my profile, and needed to provide additional information...
I grew up in SE Idaho, but moved away after graduating from High School. All of my family members still reside there, and consequently I visit quite often.
I work for an investment brokerage based out of Salt Lake. We deal in the buying and selling of foreign currency as a form of investment. Business is good, and we are growing fast. We also have an office in Beijing, and since I speak Mandarin, I was sent over to pilot our efforts here.
Beijing is great. The pollution sucks, to be short, but the weather is nice. We don't get much snow in the city - just a couple snow falls this last winter - even though temps were below freezing most of the time.
I encourage everyone to live abroad once in their lifetime - not just travel abroad, but to live and experience life not as an American, but as a native. Perspective on life in America greatly changes. I guess its true what...
