BLACKFOOT — At the age of 33, Kari Conway has already had a total hysterectomy, 13 surgeries and over 200 medical procedures in her battle to fight three non-curable diseases.
A rock show fundraiser has been planned to offset Conway’s medical expenses. The Four Hell’s SAKE show will take place on Saturday, July 26 at Tony’s Billiards in Blackfoot at 7 p.m. Local bands Neckbrace, Sonic Devastation, Dissolved in Blood and Dimmencha will perform. There will be a $6 cover charge.
SAKE is an acronym for Sound Alliance for Kari’s Expenses. Organizer Shawn Lowry came up with the acronym while writing a blog on myspace. Shawn’s blog reads, “Everyone has heard the phrase ‘for heaven’s sake,” but I could also call the event ‘Four Hell’s SAKE.”
