Monday evening, June 2, 2008, will be the first field trip in a series of three Native Plant Society walks along the West Fork of Mink Creek.  These walks will show us the progression of the flora over the summer along a trail that abounds with a diversity of native plants.   On this first trip, you will see many tall serviceberry bushes covered with white flowers and abundant Oregon grape with its many yellow flowers.  Other plants you may  see in bloom include woodland star, wild strawberry, milkvetch, alumroot, miterwort, false solomon seal, starry solomon seal, meadow rue, mountain lover, wild hollyhock, chokecherry, red-osier dogwood, cinquefoil, fairy bells, and a variety of grasses.  All are welcome to join us.
