Amen, sista! I remember that horrible day like it was yesterday. A few years ago I had the chance to talk to the sister of one of the victims, and she told me all about him and that's when it really hit home for me. Although I didn't know anybody involved in the tragedy personally, getting to know about one of them through a family member made me feel like I did. His name was Daniel Van Laer and I think about him every year on this day. He died trying to help other people get out of one of the towers. He saved a lot of lives and sacrificed his own.
