Greetings Pocatello!
I would like to take the opportunity to tell you about a wonderful organization.
P.A.W.S. Portneuf Animal Welfare Society, Inc. is a great group of people working in Bannock County to help animals.
The P.A.W.S. Mission Statement:
Portneuf Animal Welfare Society, Inc (P.A.W.S.) provides compassionate care and service to the animals and people of Southeastern Idaho working in collaboration with other organizations and community resources.
You may have read about the cruelty case in the Fort Hall area recently. P.A.W.S. has been helping with the feeding and rescue of 40 horses, 15 cows, 1 goat, 4 pigs and a flock of chickens. The animals were all in bad condition and a few horses had to be put down.
P.A.W.S. has been successful in raising money to buy hay for these starving animals. They would like to say "Thank You" to everyone for their donations and good thoughts.
The investigation is pending.
