 Otter welcomes the public to the Transportation Funding Conference meeting
WEDNESDAY, JULY 23 Transportation funding conference planned in Idaho Falls, Pocatello BOISE - Gov. C. L. "Butch" Otter and the Idaho Transportation Department will continue a series of statewide meetings - Building Roads, Building Bridges, Building Consensus - next week in eastern Idaho, asking the public how best to pay for repairing, maintaining and improving the state's crumbling roads and bridges. The transportation funding conference is scheduled Tuesday at the Shilo Inn Suites in Idaho Falls and in Pocatello at the Red Lion Hotel on Wednesday. The statewide series began this week (July 14) in Caldwell and will conclude Aug. 5 in Twin Falls at the Red Lion Canyon Springs. The governor's staff and transportation officials will meet during the day with area legislators and other local elected officials, business and industry leaders and local highway district representatives.
