Labor Day Weekend

Well, my weekend went rather well. We went dove hunting the 1st, a family tradition and my favorite season. I'm glad to brag that I beat the guys, (Dad and brother) 2-0. Girls rule. Thing with doves though, they're so small... the breast meat is hardly worth eating. LOL Mom fixed it with some chicken and it was good. Then, my boyfriend, my brother, and I went up to Bloomington Lakes and swam around there and camped at some place near St. Charles. ... I think that's the place. Anyway, here's the cool story we have. My brother had his own tent, becuase he's too good to sleep with Aaron and I, (LOL) and we just got done playing an overextended game of BS. Well, he goes to bed and Aaron and I settle into our sleeping bags. Now Aaron always brings a gun. He calls is "phyco repellent." It's not that he doesn't want to get eaten by a bear... that's the least of his worries... it's other people that he fears. Let me clear something else up... He would never shoot anyone unless they were a real threat. Well... He brought his gun, which was on the other side of me. As we settled down, the dogs at a neighboring site starting barking. I told Aaron that made me nervous becuase those dogs haven't barked at all while we were here. We had our lantern ontop of our food container... and it fell onto the ground. I froze. My worst fear had come alive, some strange, unknown, animal was in my camp. Aaron just reaches over me, in the dark, gets his gun, loads it, and everyting in the dark. When he cycled it, the scratching on our food box stopped. He got out and wondered through the area. Nothing. So he came back to the tent. The next morning there were racoon tracks everywhere! Dem racoons. It was very frighting. But it was overall a blast. I encourage everyone who loves the outdoors to visit Bloomington lakes. If you dont like Idaho now, pay those lakes a visit and the nearby springs and you'll see Idaho in an unadultered way. It's the way most people find so beautiful about Idaho and why they do love it. I dont love Idaho for it's cities and it's people.... though they're better then Utahans. I love Idaho for it's pure and realxing wilderness. The unknowing of what lies over a mountain and the animals that can surprise you and keep you up all night while camping. I do enjoy that. I love the rush of survival and at the same time, the relaxation and rejuvination of it's beautiful mountains. I love idaho for the challenge it gives me. I love Idaho. That's all. Now, I can not approve of Pocatello in many ways. But Pocatello is one of my favorite just becuase of the recreation it holds just 15 minutes to 4 hours away. Idaho is home.

Good night Ya'll
