Mitt Romney suspends his campaign
See: http://www.cnn.com/POLITICS... Michael's thoughts: Mitt is a healthy, thoroughbread. He will be a great candidate in four years, and again in 8 years. The campaign didn't cost him anything financially. It's all fundraising and I'm sure he had his bases covered as an investment banker. Mitt may still end up being be president. If he has to run again, it will depend on the real "cost," -- the toll such campaining takes on one's family. Otherwise, it is smart for him to suspend the campaign but not to pull out of the race. This is the same thing John Edwards did. You can still vote for Edwards in a primary. Edwards is simply not campaiging. On a side note, the Boise Weekly is saying that the media flushed Edwards out of the race because their big corporate sponsors were scared of his policies. Back to Mitt, he may still be president in 2008. Anything can happen in politics. A leader can be here one day and gone the next. McCain is no Spring Chicken. And as another great example of the fact that lighting does strike: remember Larry Craig. 2 comments from 2 users
