Pocatello Readings: Online List of Literary Events in the Pocatello Area
Hey everyone . . . Best, Call for Organizers: Readings Things have been very quiet around Pocatello lately. Let's get out there and organize some readings for the upcoming months. Know of someone you've been dying to hear read? Set up a reading for them! Anxious to read that new piece you've been working on all summer? Ask someone to do a reading with you. Just remember to let us know about your event (the month before) so we can help spread the word. Let's help keep Pocatello a lively community of writers! Call for Submissions: Literary Pavers The deadline for the next round of the Pocatello Arts Council's Literary Pavers is Oct. 31. The pavers are two foot square granite pavers located in the brick walkways along the sidewalks in Pocatello's Old Town area, engraved with literary excerpts of roughly 50 words describing some facet of living in the Pocatello area. For complete guidelines, please visit www.pocatelloarts.org and click on the "Calls" tab, or contact John Gribas at 282-2695 for more information. Call for Submissions: Oregon Short Line The Oregon Short Line—described by Jeff Pearson (editor-in-chief) as a sleek, hand-sewn magazine of poetry published by the Walrus and Carpenter Bookstore—is seeking submissions for their first issue.
