Last night for Revive@5 -

During this summer we have had to opportunity to enjoy almost every night that Revive @ 5  was held.  It has been the greatest fun -fantastic  music with lots of dancing, good food and tons of people to meet or get to know better.  It has been an amazing group  - - ISU attendees, jr and senior high schoolers, some young, some old, some in the middle and quite a few children with great manners and friendly smiles.

I am sure I have the best job in the world!  It has been wonderful to spend Wednesday night painting hands, faces, legs and arms. We have a great future generation growing up in the Pocatello/Chubbuck area.  They are fun, creative, smart and funny, too.

The event is held in the Old Town Pocatello Pevillion - it is amazing!  Besides the food, music and  door prizes the Farmer Market has shared the space with Revive @ 5 - what a great set-up!  The street is closed off so you and enjoy the music while shopping for produce or hand crafted items!

It was not good news that this was the last of the 2007 Revive @ 5 events.  However, there is the good newsthat the Civitans (who did an amazing job this year) are already planning for next year!  We will be there and I sure hope many of you will be too!  Among the things that Civitan did for the community was to help buy 250 backpacks and fill them with needed school supplies for students in need.  WOW!  What a huge undertaking!

I love all the great things I find on the JHub!  How did I miss this for so long?  This photo work is really exceptional.  Anyone else found a good website that has perhaps been over looked?  Well, it is 4 am!  I am off to bed!  Put a new photo up.  This is me and a great friend - Ken Stillman.  He is one of the best balloon artist in the entire world!  Thought you be getting tired of the other photo.  Will post one of Joe and I next - if I can find it!  Maybe we should have Amber Alder take a good one of us!   Hugs -  MB

What a great way to begin the summer at the Pavilion.  Beginning at 4:00pm, attendees of the 2008 Governor's Conference will come to the Pavilion for the first Revive @ 5 of the 2008 season.  As part of their tour, they will stop in Old Town Pocatello to see what great progress we've made in recent years.  Then, they will be our special guests at a preview show of the Yard Dogs Road Show and Vagabond Opera.  We're honored to host the attendees of the Conference and wanted to give them a taste of our colorful Pocatello history in this rare appearance by the Yard Dogs.  Their unique style of 1920's European Cabaret is going to be a treat for us all!  Then, the wonderful local sounds of SwingShift will entertain the after hours crowd beginning at 5PM.  The Bannock Civitans enjoyed bringing area residents the perfect after work event last year and decided to start even earlier this year - rain or shine!  In addition, to help promote Portneuf Valley Bike to Work Month, we will be hosting the 2008 Bike Parade beginning from the Pavilion at 6PM.  Last year we had some 200 riders donning their helmets and enjoying a ride through Pocatello with prizes and activities before and after the parade to enjoy.  If you would like more information, please visit the website at www.pokybiketowork.org.

Been waiting since September - but tomorrow Revive @ 5 is BACK!  I am dancing the HAPPY - HAPPY DANCE, winter has lasted way to long!  Fantastic music - and every week is a new style or group.   Good food at very affordable prices!  Cold drinks, wine and beer are available too!

All sponsored by Civitan as a fund-raising project to help build back packs filled with school supplies for area families who can not afford to outfit their kids for fall.  Joe and I will be there - for the music, the food, the fun and to paint hands.

Your kids will love the music and the dancing and so will you!  Held at the Old Town Pevillion - bring a blanket or your chairs and easy-ups.  See you there 5 pm to 8pm.   SwingShift on of the most popular groups of the entire season will be playing!
