Last night for Revive@5 -

During this summer we have had to opportunity to enjoy almost every night that Revive @ 5  was held.  It has been the greatest fun -fantastic  music with lots of dancing, good food and tons of people to meet or get to know better.  It has been an amazing group  - - ISU attendees, jr and senior high schoolers, some young, some old, some in the middle and quite a few children with great manners and friendly smiles.

I am sure I have the best job in the world!  It has been wonderful to spend Wednesday night painting hands, faces, legs and arms. We have a great future generation growing up in the Pocatello/Chubbuck area.  They are fun, creative, smart and funny, too.

The event is held in the Old Town Pocatello Pevillion - it is amazing!  Besides the food, music and  door prizes the Farmer Market has shared the space with Revive @ 5 - what a great set-up!  The street is closed off so you and enjoy the music while shopping for produce or hand crafted items!

It was not good news that this was the last of the 2007 Revive @ 5 events.  However, there is the good newsthat the Civitans (who did an amazing job this year) are already planning for next year!  We will be there and I sure hope many of you will be too!  Among the things that Civitan did for the community was to help buy 250 backpacks and fill them with needed school supplies for students in need.  WOW!  What a huge undertaking!

Saturday, August 9TH Events Chubbuck Days Parade Second Annual Car Show We had a great selection of cars at the show last year.  This time you will be able to vote for your favorite.   If you have a special vehicle to show off, call us at 237-2430. Great Food and Music Police vs, Fire Softball Game Come cheer your local heroes to victory in their traditional slow pitch softball rivalry at 12:00 noon! Fire Department "Rain" There will be fire trucks and educational equipment on site and “rain” will fall shortly after the watermelon feed, around 2:45 pm.

We have many entries for your family to enjoy: floats, horses, custom cars, music, our local military, and other organizations.

The parade will assemble at the Pine Ridge Mall southwest parking area. At 10:00, it will leave through the mall back entrance connected to Hawthorne Road, and proceed down Hawthorne to Chubbuck Road. The parade will then turn left onto Chubbuck Road and follow it to Ponderosa.  Then, it will travel down Ponderosa and turn left onto Victor.  The parade ends at Cotant Park.

Chubbuck Days festivities start at Cotant Park at 11:00.
We have a variety of food vendors signed up to serve your family’s cravings, and there will be free watermelon sponsored at 2:30 pm.   There will also be DJ music.  MAXINE & CREW will be painting and helping kids do make and take crafts.
