Last night for Revive@5 -

During this summer we have had to opportunity to enjoy almost every night that Revive @ 5  was held.  It has been the greatest fun -fantastic  music with lots of dancing, good food and tons of people to meet or get to know better.  It has been an amazing group  - - ISU attendees, jr and senior high schoolers, some young, some old, some in the middle and quite a few children with great manners and friendly smiles.

I am sure I have the best job in the world!  It has been wonderful to spend Wednesday night painting hands, faces, legs and arms. We have a great future generation growing up in the Pocatello/Chubbuck area.  They are fun, creative, smart and funny, too.

The event is held in the Old Town Pocatello Pevillion - it is amazing!  Besides the food, music and  door prizes the Farmer Market has shared the space with Revive @ 5 - what a great set-up!  The street is closed off so you and enjoy the music while shopping for produce or hand crafted items!

It was not good news that this was the last of the 2007 Revive @ 5 events.  However, there is the good newsthat the Civitans (who did an amazing job this year) are already planning for next year!  We will be there and I sure hope many of you will be too!  Among the things that Civitan did for the community was to help buy 250 backpacks and fill them with needed school supplies for students in need.  WOW!  What a huge undertaking!

RiverFest 2008 was just the best of the best!
The RiverFest just keeps getting better and better and 2008 was just the best!  We would like to thanks Hanna Stanger and the Portneuf Greenway Foundation crew and all the fantastic volunteers who worked the RiverFest. Joe and I felt it was the best one that Pocatello has ever hosted. We are already planning on being there next year. We are putting on our thinking hats to decide what fun new projects Maxine & Crew will be doing in 2009 at the RiverFest. We are thinking - a kid magic bubble fountion!

Over 300 free necklaces and pet rocks were made by kids thanks to the support of our sponsor - Party Palace - Pineridge Mall, Pocatello. There were over 15 booths with fun things for kids to do for free and lots of other cool activities for the entire family. The music and food was great. So, open up you 2009 computer calendar and put a big star on June 20, 2009 - it is the place for family fun with your budget in mind and a way to support the Portneuf Greenway Foundation and their  awesome project that makes living in Pocatello better and better as the years go by! Hugs to all . . . . Maxine
