Well the funeral is over and we have all said our good byes.  There were a few people there and people spoke of how Unkie had touched their lives. You know at the age of 89 it is really hard for the people in his age bracket to make it to a funeral.  One gentleman that was there knew Unkie from college and they shared an apartment with 3 other guys.  Believe it or not the apartment was only $30 a month and included utilities.  They split the cost between 5 people.  But keep in mind they only made 10 cents an hour back then.  Here my son at 18 is complaining about making $6.50 an hour washing dishes.  Heck I only made 3.85 at his age.  Boy times have changed.  My cousin spoke of a hunting trip he took with Unkie and he really wanted to "Blast the deer"  and Unkie reached up and stopped him and they just sat there watching the deer wander away.  This really shows the care and the love Unkie had for all living creatures.

It was a nice funeral I just wish more people were able to come.  Unkie is happy again and we are happy for him.  The suffering he has had the last few years is now over and he is once again back with the love of his life and all his family.  We will miss his razing and his fun little pranks, but remember him for so much more.
