Well as of tonight everything is great.  No strep but man was my doctor surprised at the look of my throat.  Asked me what  I was in for and when I opened my mouth  I swear he took a step back and said "Man, your throat is bad!  Haven't seen that in a long time."  Guess that was my hint that I should have came in sooner.  He gave me a couple prescriptions and wished me well.  Man I hate taking drugs! 

One of the things he gave me is a special gargle.   I tried it tonight and it is very different.  It actually numbs my whole mouth.  You know when you go to the dentist and part of your mouth is numb?  This is different, but the same.  You have the same sensation the only problem is the throat and the tongue are all affected too.  Kind of weird, but if it helps so I don't cough all night and my throat starts feeling better I am all for it.

My suggestion to everyone is make sure if you get sick check in with the Doctor if you aren't better after 2 days.  Better to be safe than sorry that is for sure.
