How is everyone in Pocatello and the surrounding area?  Me I am doing great!  Actually I have to say I am really quite surprised.  You might ask why?  Well as most of you know I write a lot about me being a big girl.  It is quite an issue that  have fought basically all my life.  Because of my size I always have felt that people were looking at me instead of seeing me.  The real me.  Well I turn 40 in October and I guess I felt like "Oh my...

Hey everybody I found this online tonight and I had to cut and paste it for everyone to read.  I think the first paragraph is really true.  How many times does someone say "I am sorry" and you really don't quite believe what they are saying to you?  Forgiveness is the answer not the apology in itself the writer states.  But, I feel like it is both as long as they are true and full of feeling.  Check out the website there are a lot of other really great...

Okay everybody I have a question.  Why is it that people in this world tend to overlook so many people out there.  How many times have you worked with someone or been in a store and assumed that a person is something other than what they are?  You know what I mean.  You see a shabby dressed person and assume they are poor or that they are homeless.  In all actuallity they are really just not into the big world of fashion and have their priorities elsewhere. ...

Can I just say I am so happy that the Holidays are now over.  The stress of making sure the right gift is given and that the people in your life are happy is so over whelming.  I really enjoy the holidays but anymore it seems like all you do is try not to hurt others feelings by not giving or doing the same for everyone. Yes I know the holidays aren't all about the presents.  I am talking about everything.  Did I spend enough time with Grandma, did the dogs get enough...

Am I the only one that thinks time is passing by way too fast?  It seems like only yesterday that I took my son to his first day of elementary school.  Now he is a high school graduate and a working man.  Since graduation on May 31, 2007 the world has become a big blur.  I don't remember much because it flew by so quickly. Do you remember the days back when we were kids and school went on forever? Yet the summer flew by.  Why is it that things have had to speed up so...

Hey everyone how goes life as we now know it.  I don't know about all of you but I have been a very bad girl and have neglected my J-Hub responsibilities.  Forgive me Community for I have sinned  it has been 23 days since I added to my blog. I know the sin put before you is a very deep and troubling one.  But what can I do?  I have had so much going on with work and home that actually sitting down to write has been very hard for me.  Okay I do have to admit...

Well as of tonight everything is great.  No strep but man was my doctor surprised at the look of my throat.  Asked me what  I was in for and when I opened my mouth  I swear he took a step back and said "Man, your throat is bad!  Haven't seen that in a long time."  Guess that was my hint that I should have came in sooner.  He gave me a couple prescriptions and wished me well.  Man I hate taking drugs!  One of the things he gave me is a...

Usually I am lucky enough not to get sick.  But, the Pocatello Crud really kicked my butt.  Yes, believe it or not I didn't go to work on Friday.  I had deadlines and I actually missed them because I was flat on my back in bed.  I noticed I wasn't feeling the greatest on Wednesday when my throat started hurting.  I really didn't think much of it.  I came to work on Thursday and I knew something was wrong.  I kept sneezing and coughing. ...

You know I was just reading someones blog and I had to comment on it.  Someone made a comment that we have a strong gay community and did the writer really want to come back to town.   She hadn't really talked about this topic and I thought it was strange that someone would say such a thing.  There is nothing wrong with Pocatello.  The way I look at it yes there are a lot of people that tend to be on either one side or the other as far as religion, politics etc. ...

After having a really bad day yesterday, I recently received this via email from a close friend.  It really helped me and I hope it will help you. SAND & STONE Two Friends Were Walking Through The Desert. During Some Point Of The Journey, They Had An Argument And One Friend Slapped The Other One In The Face. The One Who Got Slapped Was Hurt, But Without Saying Anything, Wrote In The sand: Today My Best Friend Slapped Me In The Face. They Kept On Walking, Until They Found An...

As the day grows closer I really have to stop to remember all of our fallen citizens.  I really still have a problem dealing with everything that happened that fateful day.  I remember waking up that morning and my family calling me into the living room.  There on the screen was the the horrible pictures of the Twin Towers on fire and people running for their lives.  No one at that time knew exactly what had happened ot what the whole event would start. To think that one...

Sat Aug 25, 2007 01:36:10 MDT Well, I attended the Comedy Project's show tonight. It was a great experience. What a stress reliever. You know they say laughter is a great release of stress and makes you healthier. Well after tonight I am healthy as a horse. My sides ache and my throat is sore but I sure could use the laughter after my week. There will be another chance for all you that weren't able to make the show. Next week same time and place. The performers are college students and...

Well the funeral is over and we have all said our good byes.  There were a few people there and people spoke of how Unkie had touched their lives. You know at the age of 89 it is really hard for the people in his age bracket to make it to a funeral.  One gentleman that was there knew Unkie from college and they shared an apartment with 3 other guys.  Believe it or not the apartment was only $30 a month and included utilities.  They split the cost between 5 people. ...

As I sit here typing today I am reflecting on my life.  Tomorrow I will be attending the funeral of my great uncle.  He is the baby brother of my grandma.  I remember as a small child thinking he was such a cool guy.  He was fun and accepted me no matter what.  We spent many holidays together because his home was only 2 blocks from my grandma's.  As I looked into the coffin tonight I didn't even recognize the man I lovingly called Unkie.  He was so frail...

I just want to leave a quick item for everyone to think about.  I believe that the Golden Rule is the way to live life. "Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you" Even when you are having a bad day try to be as positive as you can.  I know it is hard, but it makes such a big difference in your day as well as others.  I came to work today with a bad sinus headache.  I noticed that people could tell I wasn't feeling good.  They noticed my...
